Z UMP
UMP - this is a map designed for Garmin GPS receivers, made and developed by Creative Commons licence. This licence covers sources as well as compiled version, ready for GPS use.
UMP-pcPL covers almost all territory of Poland (as pcPL means - prawie cała PL). Almost - because we still grow.
Currently we cover the rest of Europe and most of mediterranean countries, but most of coverage is arterial roads only.
How to use our map?
- see our map on www
- download gmapsupp file, to save in navi/card directly (when your navi supports it)
- download installer if you have Mapsource already (and speak Polish a bit)
- download zipped Mapsource distribution.
Another free (no-cost) Garmin-ready maps around the world you may find on Mapcenter and Mapcenter2 or using this service.
Another map community is OpenStreetMap project. They provide free geographic data around the world, but the use in GPS navigation is not so easy although possible.
